AGV232 Africa / Nigeria Yoruba tribe presents an unusual Shango wand that features a male supplicant on horseback. (More frequently the supplicant is a kneeling female.) It also includes Janus faces centered on the front and verso celt.

Museum Exhibited 1995 @ Owensboro (KY) Museum of Art.

Maker unrecorded. Age estimated ca.1970s.. Acquired in 1991 from London, England Portabella Rd, gallery, "D. Lelorys".
