African Baga Tribe shrine figure, "elek", bird head with human features, used during harvest and for funeral ceremonies. Elek is part of the family shrine, for purification ceremonies. It alone is able to pursue witches. Age uncertain. Late 20th Century, Carver Unrecorded.
