Anne Gela is a native Torres Strait Islander, born in 1953 on the island of Moa (aka Banks Island), off the coast of Queensland, Australia. She is a member of, and was a founder of, Saima Torres Islander's Corporation, Rockhampton, QLD.
This linocut print was acquired at Coo-ee Gallery in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It is mounted on 1/4" foam board., which is shown in the full photo (slightly distorted by the camera angle). A close-up photo is also included to show the remarkable detail.
