Iconography in this painting, using traditional desert techniques of the indigenous Aboriginal people, represents important subjects, events and places in the artist's dreamtime stories. These are usually only fully revealed to senior members of the group.

Lucky paints stories from Ngkwarlerlanem and Arnkawenyerr, two countries in her lineage. She also has permission to paint ceremonial body paint designs belonging to these countries plus her mother’s country, Antarrengeny. Her work is in the Holmes a Court Collection among others. Exhibitions in Sydney and Melbourne have featured her paintings.

Lucky is the oldest daughter of Mary Morton Kemarre, also a Utopia artist of merit. Lucky transitioned from batik art to painting in the summer of 1988-89.
