This heart-warming presentation of a mother and child nestled in a shoe was created in white alabaster by Marilyn Howard , Navajo. 5” high by 6 “ long. The mother’s face is remarkably well done in the context of the total work, which is equally fine in its detail. The underside of the “shoe” includes a tribal identity card attributing this work to Marilyn Howard. a Navajo Indian from Aneth, Utah. Acquired in 2006 whilst on a buying trip to ShipRock, AZ.
